Bibendum: Bigger Is Better
Keith Wipke is a man of his word. He's the National Renewable Energy Laboratory's (NREL) hydrogen fuel cell specialist. It's his job to track global developments in the field for the U.S. Energy Department. This year, at Michelin's invitation (and expense), he attended their Challenge Bibendum in Berlin, Germany. We had discussed the possibility of our interviewing him during the event. With his own travels to California and then off to Florida, our publisher and editor in chief, Bill Moore, largely forgot about the arrangement. It was Wipke who called from Berlin on Friday, 20 May 2011 to report on what he's seen and experienced.
The accompanying audio, available to EV World Premium subscribers, is some 22-minutes long and is more or less an impromptu discussion about the Bibendum in general, and fuel cell vehicles in particular. Subscribers can listen to our conversation by clicking either of the two MP3 players embedded in the right-hand column. Or you can download the 8.12MB file to your computer for transfer to and playback on our favorite MP3 player.
