The EV1 is probably the most famous electric car ever built because of its 'starring' role in the long-lived 2006 Chris Paine documentary, 'Who Killed the Electric Car?'. Owned and loved by numerous Hollywood celebrities, as well as technology earl adapters in California, the EV1 demonstrated the feasibility of a modern electric car, one that was both functional and fun.
Three battery options were made available for the EV1. The first and last of the three EV1 models were made with lead-acid batteries and the second model used NiMH. EV1s were only available in Arizona and California. R
