I am not convinced that Nissan is for real. A few months ago, they announced that they would begin selling a plug-in hybrid in 16 U.S. markets in 2010. The car will get 100 miles of battery-only range, the press release said.
I am in one of the 16 markets that they named, so I went to a Nissan dealer to ask about the vehicle. No one had heard of it, and when I tried to research it on the Internet there was nothing. Nissan's websites don't mention the vehicle.
Unfortunately, the electric car market is a lot of talk and very little action.
