Electrovaya Partners with Japanese Firm on Stationary Power Storage

SYNOPSIS: The two companies will collaborate on the development and sales of Electrovaya's integrated advanced battery storage systems for stationary power and smart grid systems.

TORONTO — Electrovaya Inc. (TSX:EFL), a Canadian company that develops lithium battery systems for the automotive and utility industries, says it plans to target the Japanese market in partnership with Nippon Kouatsu Electric Co. Ltd.

Under a memorandum of understanding announced Monday, the two companies will collaborate on the development and sales of Electrovaya's integrated advanced battery storage systems for stationary power and smart grid systems.
