Source: Reuters

Just like [some are former GM divisions] Guide, Hydramatic, Delco, Harrison, Saginaw, etc, 'Volt' shud make 'power-packs' that can be offered on ot her products [not just Chevrolet],on 'hard order' when the buyer orders it from the factory [not bu ilt as a 'speculative' unit]...Chev/GMC small-med ium trucks, Caddy/Buick/other Chevys cud be equip ped with the 'Volt' Div. 'package'. The small pri nt on the back of GM brochures still sez somethin g like, "Parts and assemblies may be produced by other GM divisions"...Think of the impact this cu d have if FLEET rigs [Malibu police cars, Colorad o pickups/flatbed/stake trux, etc.]! By building these IN-FACTORY [not converted], the cost has go t to come down? For a while, the initial users cu d lease the vehicle, subsequent users cud lease or BUY the unit--the lease/ownership in each case paying for the development costs?..Aaron Allen...
