Toronto, Canada - Toronto will be the first in Canada to test the Prius in its fleet. There will be five of the PHVs in Toronto with the city using one. The other vehicles will be used an Ontario organization.

This pilot program supports the City’s Green Fleet Plan and Sustainable Energy Plan by testing new modes of transportation for the City's fleet. It also lets the city know if a vehicle is workable before it hits the market.

The city will provide Toyota with feedback on how the vehicle performed in the climate of Canada.
