Top-of-Line Tesla Model S Priced at $77,400

$57,400 base model will have range of up to 160 miles compared to 300 miles range of premium price version.

Tesla has been busy lately, forming partnerships with the likes of Toyota and Daimler, and now the Silicon-Valley company has finally announced information of its own Model S.

The electric car-maker reported Monday that the price of its sedan, the Model S, will run from $57,400 to about $77,400, depending on range.

The Signature Model will go about 300 miles on a single charge and will be available in mid-2012. To begin with the car manufacturer is only making about 5,000 sedans, but that number should increase to about 20,000 by 2013.
