Ford C-MAX Hybrid to Challenge Toyota Prius V
Ford Motor Co. and its new C-MAX Hybrid are looking to go head-to-head with Toyota's Prius, and the Dearborn automaker says it will soon one-up Toyota's Prius v.
Ford said Thursday its C-MAX Hybrid is projected to achieve a fuel-efficiency of 47 city miles per gallon, three miles per gallon better than the Prius v. And Ford said the car will debut at a $1,300 discount compared to the Japanese automaker's hybrid.
The C-MAX Hybrid will debut with a base price of $25,995, including destination and delivery.
