KTM Electric Scooter to See Production in 2015
KTM wants a pie of the urban scooter market and the E-Speed electric scooter concept is what the Austrian motorcycle maker is looking at, to occupy that space. The KTM E-Speed electric scooter’s production version will debut globally in 2015, with the European market being a possible target for this urban mobility solution.
The KTM E-Speed will borrow power train technology that KTM has developed for the Freeride-E off road motorcycle. Expect the E-Speed to feature a powerful electric motor powered by lithium ion batteries. A light weight electric powertrain and quick charging time could be adapted from the Freeride-E off road motorcycle to the E-Speed electric scooter.
