Electric Kias Expected in Mid-2014

Kia Motors Corp. And Hyundai Motor Company have already shown they are among the worlds most advanced automakers.

They are looking to prove that with the release of their second generation electric vehicles with improved functions and competitive pricing.

The industry buzz is that Kia may be very close to unveiling the follow-ups to their exisiting electric models, with the focus being on delivering an improved car at a more affordable price for the consumer.

Autocar reports, without additional details, that the all-electric car will be based on the the next-generation Kia Soul.

As of May 24, 15,000 Seoul residents, mainly in their 20s and 30s, have registered for the program.
