Delta Air Lines Delta is partnering with Maeve to develop the M80, a hybrid-electric regional aircraft aiming for 40% fuel savings. It uses electric motors to spin exterior fan blades, powered by batteries recharged via onboard turbine engines that also provide thrust. This setup reduces emissions on short-haul routes. Maeve targets a 2031 launch, with Delta's support signaling growing airline interest in sustainable aviation.
