Electric micromobility devices like e-scooters have led to a rise in ankle fractures, especially among young adults. This systematic review highlights a shift in injury patterns, with increased severity and complexity of fractures. Many cases require surgical intervention, and helmet use remains low. The study calls for improved safety regulations, infrastructure, and public awareness to reduce injury risks associated with micromobility use.
