ICEs are now officially a minority in the EU

Internal combustion engines (ICEs) are now a minority in the EU new vehicle market. A TechGaged Research analysis for 2025 found that petrol and diesel models accounted for just 36.6% of all new registrations, while electrified vehicles (hybrids, plug-in hybrids, and fully battery-electric cars) made up over 60%.
