Geotab's 2025 survey of 22,700 EVs shows battery capacity drops just 2.3% per year on average - leaving over 81% after eight years. Fast charging, extreme temperatures, and frequent full cycles accelerate degradation, while slow AC charging and moderate use help preserve longevity. Despite a slight increase in decline since 2023, modern EVs remain viable long-term, with most retaining 75% capacity after a decade
