The world's largest battery‑electric ship, Incat's 130‑meter Hull 096, has begun harbor trials on the River Derwent in Hobart. The vessel moved under its own 40 MWh battery system for the first time, marking a major milestone for zero‑emission maritime transport. Built for Buquebus, it will carry 2,100 passengers and 225 vehicles between Uruguay and Argentina once in service.
