Used EVs Under $25,000 Propel Sales Even As New Models Languish

In the U.S. market, used EVs under $25k are driving growth as new‑EV demand weakens. Q4 2025 saw 89,000 used EV sales, up 13.5%, with inventory turning in about 50 days. Tesla Model 3 and Model Y dominate thanks to lease returns and steep depreciation, while Chevy Bolt, Nissan Leaf, and Hyundai Kona Electric add volume. New‑EV sales fell 36% as buyers prioritize affordability.
