Weather swings drove huge EV‑range variation in Xweather’s 2026 report. Using a 250‑mile baseline, ideal warm, dry days pushed range near 300 miles in places like New Mexico, while cold, snow, wind, and wet roads cut range below 100 miles in the Northeast. Rolling resistance dominated energy loss in most states; air drag led in Florida, Louisiana, and Texas. Seasonal extremes created the widest gaps.
