World's Largest Electric Ferry Starts Voyage Across the Pacific

Incat's Hull 096, the world's largest battery‑electric ferry, was lifted onto the heavy‑lift ship Black Marlin in Hobart for delivery to South America. Built at Incat's Tasmanian shipyard, the 130‑meter vessel will serve Buquebus between Uruguay and Argentina, carrying 2,100 passengers and 225 vehicles. The operation showcased Tasmania's role in pioneering large‑scale electric shipbuilding.
