World's First Solar-Powered Ambulance Could Bring Healthcare to Remote Africa

The Stella Juva, billed as the world's first solar-powered ambulance, is being tested in remote Kenya. Its 50-kWh battery and 542 solar cells provide up to 444 miles of range on paved roads and about 224 miles off-road. Extendable solar panels help recharge while driving or parked. During trials, it traveled more than 500 miles, demonstrating the potential of solar EVs for off-grid healthcare.
