Scottish City Dwellers Ditching Private Motors to Join Car Clubs With Memberships Soaring

"Scotland's car club membership rose by a fifth last year and replaced more than 8000 privately-owned vehicles...Studies by shared transport charity Collaborative Mobility UK...also found nearly half a million journeys were made using shared bikes in 2022.

"There were 46,000 car club members in Scotland last year, a 21 per cent increase on the previous 12 months...On average, each car club vehicle in Scotland displaces 15 private cars."
