"In the largest economic development deal in North Carolina history, Vietnamese electric vehicle maker VinFast will invest more than $4 billion in North Carolina as it builds a plant in Chatham County that will bring an estimated 7,500 jobs. The average wage for a worker at the plant will be $51,000. VinFast, a startup that began in 2017, is investing a little more than $4 billion by 2026 in the plant while planning to begin construction on the plant this year and aiming to begin production in July 2024."

Lotus Eletre Electric SUV Promises 0-60 MPH In Under 3s, 0ver 300 Miles of Range

"The Eletre is based on a modular EV platform called Electric Premium Architecture (previously Evolution), and it's a lot bigger than you might expect. Measuring in at 200.9 inches, the Eletre is longer than a Range Rover and close in length to some full-size luxury sedans....battery capacity is confirmed at over 100 kilowatt-hours, or enough for a range of over 300 miles. Charging at up 350 kilowatts will be possible, which Lotus said will enable close to 250 miles of range to be added in just 20 minutes."

Turkey's Gözen Orders 100 eVTOL Air Taxis from Lessor Avolon

Also from Turkey, "Turkish aviation group Gözen Holding to pioneer electric Vertical Take Off and Landing (eVTOL) flying in Turkey using aircraft it plans to buy from Britain's Vertical Aerospace." It placed an order for 50 aircraft and has options for another 50. "The idea is to use the new "flying taxi" technology to leapfrog chronic traffic jams in Istanbul, one of the world's most congested cities, and connect the city of 15 million people to nearby Turkish tourist resorts."
