"According to a study...14 out of 27 electric vehicles surveyed can be expected to deliver lower long-term ownership costs than their internal-combustion engine (ICE) counterparts...all 27 models tested handily beat their gas-powered alternatives in terms of their energy costs...Maintenance costs in 25 out of 27 models were found to be less costly...the average EV’s five-year depreciation - which is a vehicle's largest ownership cost..."
