"The first plane connected to the charger at Marshfield Municipal Airport was an all-electric ALIA, made by BETA Technologies -- the same company that makes the charger.

"The Vermont-based company already has 9 publicly accessible electric chargers online, more than 55 sites in permitting or construction, and plans for nearly 150 online by 2025, the goal being a charging network covering much of the nation east of the Mississippi.
