Yamaha and Caterham Are Teaming Up to Build an Electric Sports Car

"Known as Project V, the mass-production-aimed, carbon fiber monocoque sports car project is being led by Caterham, with Yamaha coming in to help with drivetrain development...The principles of lightweight (with a target curb weight of around 2400 pounds), simple, and fun-to-drive will be core to Project V...268 hp, a top speed of 143 mph, and a 0-62 mph time of under 4.5 seconds don't hurt, either... Paired with an 55-kWh battery pack..estimated price of $103,000."
