World's 1st 4-ton Battery Electric Planes To Fly In US, 505-mile Range On 30-min Charge

"The 57-foot-long Alice aircraft is powered by 8,000 pounds or 4-ton of batteries...With battery technology similar to that of an electric car or a cell phone and 30 minutes of charging, the nine-passenger Alice can fly about 440 nautical miles (550 miles).

"Eviation Aircraft, focused exclusively on electric air travel, hopes that electric planes that can accommodate 20 to 40 passengers will become a reality in seven to ten years."
