"VW's new SSP chassis is now locked-in, design-wise, meaning the brand is focused on developing new models based on the platform...VW will follow the new trend of developing a range-extended hybrid setup out of the new SSP, where a gas engine will act as a generator unit to power up the large battery pack that sends energy to electric motors
"The new SSP (in the rest of the world) will replace the current ID EV-family's MEB architecture."
