Morocco To Send Solar Power To Germany Via 4800 Km Undersea Cable

Morocco will export solar energy to Germany via a 4,800 km undersea cable called Sila Atlantik, delivering up to 26 TWh annually. The cable will run along the Atlantic coast, passing through Portuguese, Spanish, French, Belgian, and Dutch waters before reaching Germany. The project, backed by E.ON and Uniper, is estimated to cost between €40 billion, with developers seeking government guarantees to support this massive clean energy infrastructure.
