"Cars had a weight problem long before electric vehicles...From 1982 to 2004, the average weight of new vehicles in the United States climbed to 1,864 kilograms from 1,452...US EPA...anticipated 2021's new vehicles would be the heaviest yet, weighing in at an average of 1,944 kilograms. (4.285 lbs)...The situation in Canada is similar.
