America Has as Many as 2 Billion Parking Spaces, And They're Ruining Our Cities

"..on the low end, the U.S. has at least 700 million parking spaces, and on the high end, the estimate is more like 2 billion.
"...cities across the country are starting to realize they don't need nearly as much parking.
"Parking garages are being replaced with desperately needed housing, and some municipalities are getting rid of parking minimums that drive up the cost of housing...one developer [allowed] to build an apartment complex that doesn?t have any parking at all."
